Where do you ship from?
MAKAROjewelry was founded in Austria in 2014 by Hanna and Matthias. Our label is currently based in Enns, a lovely little town in upper Austria. Just recently we have opened a new office in Vienna - from here we ship our jewelry worldwide. Read more about our story HERE.
Where can I buy MAKAROjewelry pieces?
To guarantee the best quality product for the absolutely best price for our customers, we have cut out all retailers and middlemen. We sell our jewelry only via our online store - directly from us to you. All savings we generate through this concept are directly passed on to you. Original pieces by MAKAROjewelry can therefore only be bought via WWW.MAKAROJEWELRY.COM.
How can I pay?
In our online store we offer 3 different payment options:

Credit Card: you can pay with your Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express.
PayPal: PayPal is a quick and secure payment method for shopping online. If you don’t have a PayPal account yet, you can easily sign up for an accout HERE.
SOFORT-banking: By using SOFORT you can transfer your payment directly from your bank account. When choosing this payment option, you will be directed to your online banking page from where you can securely send your payment.

All our prices are stated in EUR. If you would like to order using another currency, we recommend using PayPal or Credit Card.
How long will it take for my jewelry to arrive at my home?
As soon as we have received your order, we’ll start crafting your pieces just for you. Right after we have sent out your MAKARO package, you will receive a shipping notification via email. The shipping lead time for your package is dependant on your location.

Where is my package?
Right after we have sent out your MAKARO package, you will receive a shipping notification via email which will include a tracking number. With this number, feel free to check on the status of your package anytime.

For all other countries we recommend using the Austrian Tracking Service or the post tracking service of the destination country.

Do I need to pay import duties or other additional fees?
All international orders (from outside of the European Union) can potentially incur charges such as customs, duties, VAT, etc, upon their arrival in the destination country. These fees are paid to your local carrier or government and are not collected by MAKAROjewelry. For all countries outside of the EU, we can only indicate the net prices, as we are not aware of your local taxes and import duties. Therefore, they are not included in our pricing and are excluded from any refund (if applicable), even if the package is refused at the time of delivery. As we are unable to advise the amount of what these fees might be, we recommend to contact your country's customs office or tax agent for respective charges and rates on a package coming from outside of your country.
Do you have a return and exchange policy?
You can request an exchange or refund for your order within 7 days of receiving your parcel as long as the products are in their original condition and have not been worn. Please visit our RETURN POLICY page for instructions on how to issue a refund or exchange.
My favorite product is out of stock. When will it be back?
Our policy is to hand-craft the most uncommon and beautiful gemstones into unique pieces of jewelry. Therefore, some pieces are rare or even one-of-a-kind so it happens that we are not able to restock them for a while. Of course, we try our best to keep your favorite pieces in stock, but sometimes, they just move too fast. What materials do you use for your products?
At MAKAROjewelry we are all about the warmest of all colors - GOLD. Its incredible glow and precious look has always fascinated us - the combination of golden colors with shiny gemstones is what makes the typical design of MAKAROjewelry.

Since gold is not only the most beautiful of all metals (as we find), but also one of the most expensive ones, we have dedicated our brand to high quality gold-layered fashion jewelry, which is high in quality, but still affordable. All of the metal accents in our jewelry are made of brass as a base metal, with a high quality layer of 14K-gold. This gold layer (depending on the individual piece) is about 100 times thicker than the gold layer of common gold plated fashion jewelry. Therefore it is very durable and with the right care will last for a long time to come.

Of course all our products meet all safety standards, they are safe to wear and are nickel free. In case you are suffering from a very rare copper allergy, we recommend not to wear our pieces since copper is included in the 14K-gold layer as well as the brass base.
How should I care for my MAKAROjewelry pieces?
The absolutely best thing you can do for your MAKAROjewelry pieces is to rub them off with a soft cloth after every wear to remove any remains from wearing. Always make sure you store your MAKARO pieces separately in the complimentary gift bag or box.

Avoid any contact with water, especially for pieces containing a delicate chain or natural gemstone. In case your piece of jewelry accidentally gets in contact with water, dry it immediately and thoroughly with a soft cloth or paper towel. We don’t recommend wearing your jewelry 24-7, since especially wearing them at night or when showering etc. can harm them. Therefore, please take off your jewelry at night, when taking showers or baths and when using soaps, perfume or lotions.

Our jewels are designed to be very delicate so please treat them carefully while wearing.
How do I know if the bracelet or ring will fit me?
Our bracelets are sized in an adjustable range between 15 and 17.5cm. If you are unsure if your desired bracelet will fit, just use a measuring band or string to measure your wrist. In case you would like to order a bracelet in a smaller or bigger size, just leave us a note in the field at your cart page. We’ll happily craft your piece in the exactly right size for you! Please note, that pieces differing from our standard sizes are final sale and cannot be exchanged or returned.

Just as our bracelets, our rings are also adjustable in size. The minimum diameter of 16mm can easily be adjusted up to 19mm by gently stretching the ring. Our knuckle rings have an adjustable range from 13 to 16mm. In our experience, this range will fit most young women. In case you have very tiny fingers (below 16mm ring size) or you need a bigger ring size - no problem! Just leave us a note in the field at your cart page and we’ll adjust your ring to your personal size. Please note, that all rings differing from our standard sizes cannot be exchanged or returned.
I would like a custom piece of jewelry. How can I order?
